Rots-Vast Groep Amsterdam and the Expatcenter Amsterdam
The cities of Amsterdam and Amstelveen, together with the Immigration and Naturalisation Services (IND), have embarked on a combined effort to increase the efficiency of their services for highly skilled migrants in the Amsterdam Area. The Expatcenter Amsterdam Are is situated in the World Trade Center in Amsterdam Zuid and provides a one-stop-shop service for highly skilled migrants and expats arriving in Amsterdam or Amstelveen.
Our Rots-Vast Groep office in Amsterdam is a selected partner of the Expatcenter Amsterdam, to help the Expats find suitable housing. The Center is a joint initiative of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), and the City of Amsterdam and Amstelveen. Its goal is to improve immigration and knowledge migrant procedures in the Amsterdam area, as well as act as a valuable information sources for all expatriates living in the Amsterdam Area. The center aims to meet the needs of international companies and their international employees.
The Expatcenter has developed a process to assist an employer to initiate the registration procedure for a residence permit prior to the new employee’s arrival in the country. Once in the Netherlands, the employee can then collect a national residence permit and complete municipal registration procedures in a single visit to the center. Shortly after this visit, they will receive a citizen service number by post, which is essential for opening a Dutch bank account, amongst other things. Expatriates living in Amsterdam can now visit the center in Amsterdam-zuid for help with other government and expat related issues such as parking, taxes, healthcare, education and living.
